A SHOW AS SPECTACULAR AS SINGAPORE

In 2004, Indian Cinema set foot in the roaring city of Uniquely Singapore - a destination which was as vibrant and warm as Indian Cinema itself. A contingent of more than 450 stars, celebrities, cricketers, industrialists and government leaders were present at the grand 3-day weekend and the IIFA Forum in 2004 drew a full house. Hosted in partnership with the Media Development Authority, Singapore, the focus was on 'Globalisation of Indian Cinema' and 'Co-Production between India and Singapore'.

Singapore experienced the glittering World Premiere of Mani Ratnam's 'Yuva', in Hindi and 'Aayitha Ezhuthu' in Tamil The first ever IIFA Foundation Celebrity Football Match was showcased at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore. The team line-up comprised the glitterati of India Cinema and Singapore's football fraternity.

The Awards night was a magnificent function that left everyone spellbound. The Singapore Indoor Stadium was taken over by the stars, with the theme for the evening set as 'Celebrating the Superstars of Indian Cinema'; the performances were a tribute to the greats of Indian Cinema, past and present.
