A SCINTILLATING SHOW AT AMSTERDAM

On its continuing journey towards propelling Indian Cinema to newer heights around the world, Amsterdam, the "City on Water" was chosen as the place for the 6th Annual IIFA Weekend and Awards. A press meet hosted by Mr.Amitabh Bachchan started the event and about 250 journalists flocked to cover the weekend from all over the world. IIFA World Premiere showcased Pradeep Sarkar's 'Parineeta' at the ancient yet magnificent Pathe Tuschinski Theatre.

The IIFA Workshop witnessed some prominent filmmakers from Indian and Dutch film industry talking about Indian and World Cinema. The key speakers included Karan Johar, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Abhishek Bachchan. The FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum held at Expo XXI included dignitaries from India and the Netherlands who addressed a myriad range of topics such as Trade and Commerce, Tourism and Cinema. The Forum served as a melting pot of ideas, international business and networking.
